Airtask Group, through Directflight Limited, holds 2 Air Operator Certificates (AOCs). A National Certificate for Public Transport, as defined in the UK Air Navigation Order (ANO), which governs the company's Cessna-Reims F406 surveillance and general operations and the BAe 146-300 Atmospheric Research Aircraft (ARA), and an EU-Ops AOC for Commercial Air Transport (CAT) as it applies to the BN2 Islander Fleet operations in remote regions.

Passenger Transport flights commenced in 1983 at inception, the Group has retained the ability to fly passengers on all Company aircraft both during scheduled air services whilst also holding the ability to carry customer representatives during surveillance flights. This means that all non-group staff carried on flights are always afforded the protection of normal passengers even during ad-hoc flight requirements.
